This year, in order to participate in Targa, our ‘09 Mitsubishi Evo X  logged over 18 000 kilometres.

Instead of trailering, my wife and I decided to drive “Fred”, as she calls the Evo, on the round trip from Fort McMurray to  St. John’s.

Other than a bent wheel suffered as a result of a washed out bridge approach after Hurricane Igor, we were problem  free. “Fred” made it home on the same tires, which is incredible as Yokohama Advans are known to have a lifespan of 10  to 15 thousand km’s.

A big Thank You to Paul Dyer and the crew  from Capital Mitsubishi in St. John’s for their help and support. Without  Paul’s help, I would not have found the joy of “Launch Control”!!!

Special Thanks to Jamie’s step brother Rod Miller. A excellent photographer, most of the photo’s on this site  were taken by Rod. We really appreciate the time and effort put into the pic’s and video.

6th Place Grand Touring

There’s No Place Like Home
2200 Kilometres later and we managed to bring home the Evo in 6th place. The competition was a mix of heart pounding adrenalin and the serenity of a Sunday drive.
